So I’ve recently gotten into the MCU stuff in prep for a family marathon. You all aren’t kidding. Those Atmos tracks on some of them totally suck, even with the volume turned up. Comparing Thor Ragnarock now. The BD’s 7.1 DTS-HD MA is much more dynamic. Someone at Disney doesn’t know what they’re doing.
The UHD also has a separate DD+ track but it’s got some baked in dialnorm that at least according to my processor is -24. I haven’t tried it out yet.

Yes, most Disney Atmouse mixes are completely botched!!!
You can use EAC3TO to remove the Dial Norm of a DD+ track if you wish to use it. Thanks given by: xwmario

The DTS-HD MA track also has dial norm too, set to -27dB...which I don't think I've ever seen utilized on a dtshd track. It's not that big of a deal, as I just adjust my fader appropriately. Anything -27dB or with no dialnorm is typically perfect at reference level when the fader is adjusted. If it's any other number, I never trust it to be right and have to just try to find what reference for that given track should be. They're hiring some real bozos to do these encodes.

So, the 2017 UHD Dolby Atmos remix of Blade Runner: The Final Cut has different sound effects from the original Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track on the 2007 Blu-ray.
The 5.1 mix is more faithful to the original 1982 release, but the Atmos mix has punchier and more modern sound effects. I personally prefer the Atmos mix, but I figured most people would probably prefer having the TrueHD 5.1 mix instead. I wonder what's the sync difference between the 2017 UHD and the 2007 BD, so people could sync the TrueHD 5.1 to the UHD, or the Atmos mix to the 2007 BD (which I want to do, since I don't have equipment to play 4K UHD). Also, hoping someone could get the 5-Disc Blade Runner HD-DVD, as it has slightly better audio for the Archival Versions. Dolby Digital Plus instead of standard Dolby Digital.

Someone already mentioned this upthread. They are in sync. (2021-03-28, 02:44 PM)resolution Wrote: Here's a must-remux, in my opinion: |
