What a shame! I guess that the extended cut in the UK package is identical to the previous BD. It's probably a case of using up old stock, and it's likely to annoy people who pick up the combo hoping to see the new transfer on standard BD for now and in UHD down the line.

Looking at the footage in Oliver's video, the picture of this release looks really washed out. Is this due to not seeing the movie on a HDR monitor, or is this how the 4K disc looks? I don't have a 4K setup so I haven't any experience with these new discs and the HDR feature.

STM is never going to be demo material for 4K or HDR. The film was deliberately shot with soft, hazy look to it. But the UHD is the best it has ever looked in terms of detail and colour (gone is the teal suit of the BD). Obviously unless you're viewing on a true 4K HDR set up, you're not going to get the full benefit (and even then, not all HDR-capable displays are equal!) but even the SDR converted caps I've seen are a big improvement over the BD.

I like the Special Edition video, however I dislike the Special Edition audio, I also wish a newer BD would be released,

I don't know why my quote from bluray.com was taken out of context like this, but I was NOT referring to the 5.1 track on the UHD disc, I was referring to the remix on the DVD/Blu-ray. I was specifically telling someone else why I hated the remix. The 5.1 on the 4K disc IS the 70mm mix. Can someone please share that audio track here? I don't particularly like the 4K transfer of the film and would like to mux the 70mm mix with the blu-ray video.
