Any help here, is also welcome. Thanks for the inside, I will include those in the second version, just wanna keep things manageable right now. I don't wanna stretch the patience of the donors even further. For what its worth, consistency works pretty well, I hope you don't mind when I postpone to provide audio-variety. The Laserdisc I work with has also the video included which makes it easier for me to sync it to the german synchronization (which is naturally not really lipsync in the first place).

And I see it mentioned here all the time, but you don't need matching video to do an audio sync. Doing everything in spectrogram is the best way to do a sync and will ensure it's accurate with no video needed. The german track needs to be in sync first though, otherwise it's going to be a nightmare to line another track up. The english voices and all other sounds should all be in sync on the German track...if ths is not in sync though, how are you planning to sync up an English track to it? If you get the German audio in sync and send it to me (just audio), I could sync any audio track to it in a few hours or less. Don't waste time syncing and including a poor sounding audio track to a project like this.

German synchronization are generally lagging a little, it gotten better nowadays, but if you are not used to it, you notice it right away. Video match is important to see which frames I miss in my print in comparison to the laserdisc for instance. I have not a perfect print, so I gotta know if I have missing frames or not. Its not a big deal though
and thanks for the help offer @Yarp (2024-02-24, 12:13 AM)freedomland Wrote: Video match is important to see which frames I miss in my print in comparison to the laserdisc for instance. I have not a perfect print, so I gotta know if I have missing frames or not. why are the missing frames important? the corresponding audio with those frames will be missing too right? just pull the german audio up in spectrogram, along with the audio you want to match and sync away. if the german sync is just lagging a bit then make your one delay adjustment before you sync. if then german track goes in and out of sync throughout the movie then that is probably going to be a long manual process to fix but you still wouldn't need the LD video. all you need is the german audio to be in sync and then you can match any english track you want without needing the video.
