Why does everyone talk so cryptic?

Okay, maybe I should have been clearer in my questtion:
What digital Source was the Audio from? BD/LD/DVD?

Would it not be just easy to state where the soundmix is from? If it is the italian BD, I would not need to grab it from my BD.
If it is an UK Full Frame DVD, which release was it? the single Disc release, or the bonus Disc from the 2 Disc CE release (maybe they are identical, but as long nobody confirmed it, it is possible that they differ...)

Apologies Mr. Brown, there a number of titles being discussed and it does get confusing. The title to which myself and Stamper are referring is The Crow UK DVD released via Entertainment in Video (EDV9033), it is 4:3 aspect ratio, probably open matte and has a Dolby Digital pro-logic 2.0 soundtrack encoded at 256kb/s which could be the original Dolby Surround, would you say so Stamper?

Yes I think it is. It sounds like the LD sounded, whereas all the DVDs that I know of and the Blu-rays, sound like squashed shit with no dynamics.
Yes the UK DVD is obviously open matte as I posted. It also shows the JP/DE BDs are wrong and show information on the left that should be hidden as the soundmix goes there on the prints.

At the moment adrive has some tehcnical difficulties, but maybe this evening I am able to send Stamper a link to the english Audio from the IT BD, so he may listen to it, if it is indeed a LPCM track with not the normal BD sound mix. (Maybe even the theatrical mix...)

According to stamper the englisch LPCM from the italian BD is just a fold down of the normal known surround mix.

If anyone want to double check, ask MrBrown. Better two opinions than one!

With the UHD coming, now could be the time to dig up LD rips of both DD and DTS tracks!
In fact if we stick to the US releases, there are three tracks worth preserving, [3034 AS] Digital Dolby Surround, [12157 AS] DTS + analog DS, and [7818 AS] which has DD 5.1 + DS.
I wonder which is the theatrical, need to check out the LDDB forums.
