Ashes of Time (1994) Theatrical Cut

I've watched both versions side by side and noted a couple of "interesting" differences.

At 1:28:38 (on your V2.2) Mr Cooper's version has a daytime transition to a peach tree.
You don't have that, and neither has my old Mei Ah DVD.

The panning shot at 1:34:39 goes from left to right in your version, and from right to left in Mr Cooper's.

At 1:36:13, just before the end credits, his version shows a quick flash (3 frames) of the burning inn.
Not present in my Mei Ah DVD. Not present in your version.
Looks like an editing glitch.

There must be other small differences here and there.

I'm sure you knew this already. I guess I'm learning that the Mei Ah DVD and the Pony Canyon DVD have different cuts.
I always assumed the Pony Canyon DVD was simply a cleaner version of the Mei Ah. Not a DVD with different shots...

Mr Cooper's version uses some Redux footage that was altered so it's not quite an accurate reconstruction. I tried to stick to only pre-Redux sources and only used elements from Redux (such as extracting the text and overlaying it onto the Japanese DVD upscale, or overlaying a few short unaltered shots to enhance the quality of the image for some moments that weren't in the French disc).

I do have a rough version somewhere that's the HK cut but using the Redux Blu-ray.

As far as I know, the Pony Canyon and Mei Ah are the same cut unless I missed something. I've synced them up and only found a few frames difference (usually around the reel change markers). I believe the Mei Ah disc also omits the Mainland Chinese crew credits.

That actually turned out quite nice!

The issue I have with the Pony transfer is that its over bright and sometimes has this look almost like its a cam job. A distant feeling if that makes sense?

However your upscale caps does a good job of reducing that.

Together with PipperPiper's subs, you might have a good project here.

Im here with my VCD like 

I know exactly what you mean by "cam" rip. Has anyone tried to trackdown one of the Laserdiscs (HK or Japan) I feel like those might have the best quality to them. They'll atleast not have the DVD compression/encoding issues.

The original LD does look about the same as the DVD, they even share the same warning screen.
