Hitchcock original audio thread

This thread is for original audio on Hitchcock titles. This has been inspired by today’s discovery: certain Hitchcock films were released in Japan on LD with digital audio as the last part of the “Hitchcock library” collection!
I’ve been able to verify so far: Blackmail, Rebecca and...Vertigo. The latter two I just unboxed and checked out. Vertigo is the same master as the analog only pan n scan USA LD but with a pcm mono track that sounds like the dvd and bd track but so far to my ears better...

Tracking down theatrical mixes

Hi guys,
I'm trying to track down a number of original theatrical mixes I'd like to sync to the UHDs that don't have them, and I would really appreciate this community expertise on the subject. Also, if you have any of them and are willing to share it with me, I'd gladly except the challenge of syncing them and share with everybody when done.
So here goes:
A FEW GOOD MEN - LD has Dolby Surround (original mix or the closest to it?)
SCHINDLER'S LIST - Cinema DTS (blu ray has DTS-HD MA 5.1, is this the original or near fielfd remix?)
BRAVEHEART - Dolby True HD 5.1 on blu ray could be the original DD (did it have DTS cinema?)
THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK - LD has DTS (original mix?)
THE BIG LEBOWSKI - Cinema DTS (blu ray has DTS-HD MA 5.1, is this the original or near fielfd remix?)
SAVING PRIVATE RYAN - Cinema DTS? (blu ray's DTS-HD MA 5.1 is supposedly inferior both to DTS on DVD and cinema DTS)
THE MUMMY - Cinema DTS?
GLADIATOR - Cinema DTS, it's somewhere out there...
HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS (Jim Carrey) - Cinema DTS?
Thanks guys, any help of getting a hold of these would be very much appreciated.

DTS-HD Master 2.0: L/R or Lt/Rt?

Hello everyone,
I'm currently working on a Blu-ray for which I have several PCM-tracks and a few DTS-HD Master 5.1/7.1-tracks. Since my BD-player seems to prefer Dolby Digital or DTS over PCM I now wanted to try, if I can get around this by converting the PCM-tracks to DTS-HD Master first.
The PCM-tracks are Mono and Stereo. For the Mono it's easy - I have to select 1.0 in the DTS-HD Master Suite. However, for the 2.0-tracks it confuses me as there are two options: L/R (Left / Right) and Lt/Rt (Left total / Right total). I already looked at the Manual, but couldn't figure out what's the difference.
Can anyone explain me what's the difference and which option I have to pick?
Thanks in advance!

About Hard-Coded Subs on Star Wars Saga 4K

The Star Wars Saga is now available in 4K on UHD Blu-ray. The US 4K BD feature the movies with hard-coded subtitles. But they do look like they are re-created from scratch - Sorry I can't post screencaps, somebody might be able to do so.
If they are indeed re-created, can we make them look better? They way too sharp.
Any thoughts?

I have joined the forum after knowing about it for quite some time...having more free time than ever in quarantine I decided to join and maybe learn to do some projects on here.
I want to do MCU IMAX 3D to 2D hybrid (non imax scenes from normal bluray and imax from the 3d bluray) projects.
Just want to make sure these havent already been done before?
And would appreciate any help, tips or guides on how to do it..
I may also look into spending time to do shot for shot left sidebar cropping like kk650 has done for civil war and guardians of the galaxy if someone can tell me how that can be done.
