Not in any detail. That guy's been posting great film snippets for a while now - seems he has quite a large collection of trailers, logos and cinema branding stuff.

Hard to tell if he has the whole print or just the logo. Not the sort of thing to discuss in YouTube comments (and his postings are full of enough tone-deaf requests as it is).

Robocop didn't have the Orion logo with the regular music, it just had some droning synth noises leading into the opening score.

However, Terminator did have it with the music, so I wonder if he has a print of that...

Thanks Falcon. Bigrob mentioned it a page ago so I have a copy. The LD and the telecine are closer then say the BD but have some major differences. Same with the 35mm (Servo's and mine) stills I have. Close to the telecine but different. Unfortunately there are some problems with the telecine. Beside being an nth generation copy it has one or two spots where it goes bad. If you watch the marines first meal out of cyro, the "cornbeard" conversation, you can see the white balance goes bad mid scene and all the highlights turn blue.

Almost like someone adjusted the picture mid copy. Now I think it goes away later around the time Newt is found but then later in the film like when Ripley is show the pulse rifle, the scene gets very purple skin tone:


Which doesn't match any other source. It also occurs a few other times but skin tones in other adjacent scenes are fine in comparison.

I was going to keep the TV cut regraded to the LD since I got these sources after it was done. I initially was going to adjust the theatrical version to the telecine source but after finding those errors I decided to combine all three sources (the LD, the telecine and 35mm frames) to get an average of what it should look like.

I watched that telecine, it's really bad in most places, doesn't look like the film did in theaters, apart from some spots like the red tunnel scenes and some blue scenes. Not reference, it's a badly made, reframed telecine.
