  Enemy Territory (1987)
Posted by: PipperPiper - 2021-03-06, 07:20 PM - Forum: Official and unofficial releases - Replies (9)

Action movie from Empire Pictures (Charlie Band's company before Full Moon) with Ray Parker Jr., Tony Todd, and Jan Michael Vincent about an insurance agent that gets trapped in an apartment building by a street gang that is out for blood.

Apparently legal issues are holding up any chance of this getting an hd release (most likely music related). Seems to be only available on VHS, even though wikipedia lists it as being released on both VHS and Laserdisc under the CBS/Fox label.

Was this actually given a Laserdisc release? I cannot find concrete info on such a release and that includes even an image of said release.

  Re-sharing question
Posted by: Hitcher - 2021-03-06, 11:17 AM - Forum: Bug reports and suggestions - Replies (6)

There doesn't seem to be a specific rule about re-sharing projects and I often see requests popping up for them, either because they're no longer available from the original creator or are hosted on hard to join sites, so I thought I'd ask what the general etiquette was in these cases.

Thanks.

Hello people.

I'm a total film buff from sweden that pretty much stumbled unto this forum. Very exciting to read about the many fan fixes posted here.

Will try to lurk around and offer my (petty) knowledge to anyone who may listen.

I look like my avatar, only older and fatter - oh well! ;-)

  Belated introduction

Hello,
I'm Sade1212 ("sayd twelve twelve"... I've been using this username since I was a child). I've actually been a member here for around two and a half years but have never posted anything. I'm much more active over at Original Trilogy. The dark rabbit hole of learning about Lucas's endless Star Wars changes got me interested in the world of fanres, AV quality, film preservation and so on, and now I have to thoroughly research the best available version of any movie before I watch it...
I often work on fanedits, do poor amateur VFX, splice together various sources of the same movie, and regrade movies, but I've never finished anything to a sufficient standard for me to decide to release it properly. This will probably remain true forever.

For those who have the LotR 4K set...

...and have taken advantage of the digital code, what format are the resulting 4K digital copies in?  Do they have some form of DRM or copy-protection? And how large are they in terms of file size?

I ask because, at this point, I don't have a 4K set or player, but don't want to close off my avenues in the future by waiting for the standard Blu-Ray re-release this fall.  I'd much rather prefer purchasing the 4K sets, downloading the digital copies, and then downconverting them to 1080p so I can watch them on my current setup for the time being.  (And, yes, I live in the U.S., so would be eligible to download them in full 4K.)  Thanks for any information you could give me.
